Bilateral Penetrating Keratoplasty for Advanced Corneal Disease

This case involved a patient suffering from severe bilateral corneal opacity, resulting in significant visual impairment and reduced quality of life. The patient presented with markedly compromised corneal clarity in both eyes, which limited vision and daily functioning.

After detailed clinical evaluation and appropriate preoperative assessment, penetrating keratoplasty (corneal transplantation) was planned and performed for both eyes in a staged manner.
